Who are we?
Hi! My name is Waldo and I am the owner and founder of Redemption E-Waste, a family company serving Central Maine. Throughout my life, I have been passionate about electronics. As a child of the '90s, I witnessed the rapid evolution of the internet and computers as they transitioned from bulky desktop devices to portable technology we now carry in our pockets. My journey began when my father brought home an old Windows computer from the city dump, igniting a fascination that kept me occupied for countless hours. I learned to troubleshoot, experiment, and understand the inner workings of technology, turning what was once considered obsolete into a treasure.
Today, many of the devices I grew up with are viewed as vintage or even disposable, but I believe they still hold value in our modern world. I've identified a significant need in Maine with an effective solution to recycling e-waste, and I am committed to making a positive impact in our great state of Maine.

Our Mission:
Our primary mission is to minimize the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills or contributes to environmental pollution here in Maine. As a firm believer in Jesus Christ, I hold that we have a responsibility to care for the Earth, as highlighted in Genesis 1:28. At Redemption E-Waste, we are dedicated to transforming the perception of electronic waste into an opportunity for renewal and responsible stewardship in alignment with our faith.
Our Process
Pickup Service or Drop Off
We collect your e-waste safely from your doorstep. You can also drop your items off at our drop boxes.
Most items we collect for free. However, some e-waste requires special recycling methods. Please see our full price list of accepted items and pricing.
Pickups are by appointment only.
Parts are reclaimed
Our first priority is to reintroduce functional electronics back into circulation. We sell these devices at reduced prices, with proceeds supporting our ongoing recycling initiatives.
We then assist individuals in repairing their malfunctioning electronics by offering economically viable parts. This enables users to fix their devices and prolong their lifespan, keeping them out of the waste stream.
For E-waste that cannot be reused or is no longer wanted, we meticulously disassemble each item to sort its components. Items like circuit boards, CPUs, RAM, wires, and batteries are salvaged and sold to scrap yards or foundries for the reclaiming of precious metals.
Comprehensive Recycling:
Lastly, we strive to recycle all materials, including plastics, paper, and glass, to the best of our ability.
